Education and Experience
Lauren Brierly received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from William James College (formerly the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) in 2017. She previously obtained her B.S. in Psychology (with a minor in Criminal Justice) from Northeastern University and her M.A. in Professional Psychology from William James College. Dr. Brierly has amassed experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, family court clinics, and outpatient group practices. Through these experiences, she has supported individuals, couples, and families through challenges such as divorce, school difficulties, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, crisis, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
Therapy with Children, Adolescents, and Families
Though Dr. Brierly has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, she specializes in meeting the needs of children (ages 3-12), adolescents (13-18), and families. Her specialties include early childhood mental health (3-6 years old), divorce and parental reunification, play therapy, physical and developmental disabilities, mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and school difficulties. Dr. Brierly also provides family therapy and parenting intervention.
Therapy with Adults and Couples
Dr. Brierly also has experience working with couples and individuals regarding reproductive health. After completing her Doctoral Project (dissertation) on late-term pregnancy loss, she became committed to providing individuals and couples with a safe space to navigate any type of reproductive difficulty. Dr. Brierly specializes in working with infertility, high-risk pregnancy, pregnancy loss, birth anxiety, postpartum adjustment, and relationship issues. Additionally, she enjoys working with couples surrounding parenting interventions and clinical sex therapy.

Dr. Brierly believes in the importance of compassion, connection, and collaboration in every therapeutic relationship. By creating a warm and empathetic environment, she strives to make all clients feel safe, respected, and heard. Dr. Brierly offers an individualized, strength-based approach that is rooted in evidence-based techniques. Together, she will work collaboratively with clients to encourage healing, change, and growth.
